Dear colleagues,
December 29th 2001 was the first day of Ukraine's Franchising Association work.
The aim of this organization is to represent entrepreneurs and their
franchisees, that use franchising agreements, on governmental level, support
them practically while setting up and developing their business.
We'd like to admit that franchising in Ukraine exists and is constantly
developing. Not last part in this process is played by our union of franchisers,
franchisees and suppliers for networks. Today we unite 76 members that represent
61 franchise networks. We are the largest association in Central and Eastern
Europe.
Along with active domestic work Association sets relations with foreign and
international associations, studies foreign franchising experience and
legislative background. The Association makes great contribution into
development of such a perspective kind of entrepreneurship as franchising by
implementing our achievements into practice.
Association provides the following services for its foreign members and
partners:
1) in network developing:
– searching for masters and regional partners;
– organizing business meetings in Ukraine;
2) assistance in purchasing a franchise from Ukraine:
3) organizing delegations to Ukrainian events from abroad and from Ukraine to
international events;
4) in education:
– organizing seminars and trainings;
– recruiting and training according to certain criteria;
5) in consulting in partnership with teamvision Ukraine – master franchisee of
teamvision, OneBiz group (Portugal)):
– preparing concept of network development;
– preparing franchise agreements, manuals, business plans, brand books;
– expert division of territory for franchise units;
– preparing materials and holding presentations of networks;
6) in financing and insuring, securing business:
– standardizing franchises that are offered for sale;
– independent expertising of executing franchise agreements;
– accompanying franchise agreements.
Association is the co-organiser of International franchise expo in Kyiv, 3rd of
which will take part in November 2007. Previous year's event was visited by
about 5000 potential Ukrainian investors. For detailed information and

Association published 4 franchise catalogues. The fifth edition is being
prepared for autumn 2007. Previous one is spread through events on franchising,

Association is the co-organiser of International franchise conference, the
closest of which will take place in September in Kyiv. Participation in such an
event is an easy and relatively cheap way to present your franchise on Ukrainian

Ukrainian Franchise Association welcomes strong foreign companies at the
Ukrainian market cause we are sure this will benefit both foreign companies and
Ukraine as a whole.
